BB364 is an 11-acre property, set in the northern parish of St. Lucy on Barbados, about 5-10 minutes from the beach.   Built in the early 18th century, the Estate's main feature is a stately villa of coral stone that exudes traditional charm.  The house was re-designed between the late 60s and early 70s by celebrated English theatrical designer, Oliver Messel, for Charles Graves (brother of the poet Robert Graves).  Messel's signature style was in making indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly flow together - creating a comfortable and elegant family residence of exceptional beauty.

The extensive property is perched on a coral ridge with unforgettable views of the Caribbean coastline, and includes a park of mahogany trees amidst mature, lush gardens designed by Todd Langstaffe-Gowan, landscape designer for the Royal Palace of Hampton Court.  The impeccably kept grounds, which boast a koi-filled Lotus Lake and intriguing Arawak cave system, provide a peaceful oasis to stroll or relax.

BB364 is a wonderful choice for families with children as there is a play area with swings, seesaw, and trampoline among the park-like grounds as well as a play room in the Plantation Wing of the villa.

The seven air-conditioned luxury suites (with Bose sound systems), in four separate wings, are spaced far enough away from one another to give optimum privacy, and feature custom-made, Indian linen by textile designer, Lindsay Taylor, from the Isle of Wight.  The Pavilion at the bottom of the Tropical Ravine has a suite with an outdoor shower and a kitchenette.  The huge reception room boasts a high-tech home cinema:  60" plasma, high definition television; Blu-Ray DVD; and a Martin Logan electrostatic speaker sound system.  This area is surrounded by wrap-around purple heartwood terracing ... with a mahogany tree growing through the west deck.

The natural lagoon-shaped pool, designed by Messel, is fed by ionized water and is similar to swimming in a natural spring.  The profusion of tropical flora that surrounds the pool creates a wondrous, secret 'hideaway'. At night, the pool evokes magic with its lights set below.  The expansive sun deck adjacent to the pool is built over the ravine within the trees - resembling a giant tree house.

Picture yourself with the scenic view of the blue sea as your backdrop, surrounded by a colorful array of fragrant flowers, tanning, diving into a good book, or having an aperitif before a sumptuous dinner prepared by Chef Andy Taylor, formally of Lonestar Restaurant and Maddox fame. The other staff who will cater to your well-being include a butler, cook, housekeepers (3), gardeners (3-4) and 24-hour security.  The owner's representative and estate manager are also on hand.

BB364 is an exquisite private Estate, the ideal vacation hideaway for large families or groups, offering the finest in Caribbean island living.  This property offers a perfect setting for a multi-generational family or two families that enjoy traveling together but also appreciate their own private space. This Estate is only a five-minute walk (we suggest that guests drive due to the terrain) to the sandy beach at Little Good Harbour (with the Fishpot Restaurant) with beach umbrellas and chaise lounges for guests to use.

Being so far to the north and out of the mainstream, we highly recommend that we rent a vehicle or driver for guests during their stay so they can enjoy all that this lovely island has to offer.

This property is a good choice for weddings (minimum one week's rental) and corporate venues.

     Children are welcome.
