     The Dominican Republic’s tourist hot spot, Punta Cana, sits on the easternmost tip of the eastern part of the island of Hispanola.  Originally called Punta Borrachón (Drunkard's Point), Punta Cana has become the most recognized name in the resort world with the second busiest airport - renowned for its innovative and eco-friendly design - in the Caribbean.      DR305 is an exquisite seven (7) bedroom, six and a half (6-1/2) bathroom villa designed for a family of 15 or friends, a casually elegant vacation haven with a view towards one of the most revered golf courses in the Caribbean, La Cana.  Located in the exclusive gated community of Punta Cana Resort & Club, the property features an expansive lawn (ideal for children to play), and a private swimming pool adjacent to a fabulous palapa that offers a comfortable, shaded lounge area to chill out.

 

     The villa's living and dining areas are spacious and airy, opening out onto the covered verandah which overlooks the private swimming pool (outfitted with cushioned chaise lounges) with the La Cana golf course in the distance. The villa's clean lines and fine quality furnishings and appointments are an intriguing blend of classical, nautical, and marine life bathed in soothing, subdued tones.  The end result is a very relaxing atmosphere that spills from one room to the other and onto the covered verandah just outside.

 

     The ample, modern kitchen, which has large windows and a center island, contains all the necessary equipment and tools needed to accommodate a large group, including cooking utensils, dishes and flatware, a stove/oven, coffeemaker, microwave, and blender.  For those who prefer to leave the meal preparation to someone else, a cook can be hired at extra cost.

 

     There are three air-conditioned bedrooms on the upper floor.  The Master Bedroom has a king-size bed and the other two bedrooms are furnished with a queen-size bed in each.  All three bedrooms have a flat-screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom.

 

     The other five air-conditioned bedrooms are located on the main floor. Two of them have a king-size bed and one has two queen-size beds.  These bedrooms have a flat-screen TV and baths en suite.  The last bedroom has a twin bed with a trundle bed underneath, and shares a bathroom with one of the king-size bedrooms.

 

     Rental of this villa includes private check-in on property, a fruit basket on arrival, daily maid and butler service, bathroom amenities, concierge service, and transfers from/to Punta Cana International Airport.  While not included, a cook can be hired for $150.00 per day for three meals plus the cost of groceries.  If guests prefer to do their own cooking, groceries can be supplied at extra cost if they do not wish to do the shopping themselves.  

 

     DR305 is next to the Tortuga Bay Beach (about 400 meters away), a five-minute walk or one-minute golf cart ride from the villa.  This is a 'natural' beach with no services or beach chairs.  

 

     Children are welcome; no pets.
