     JM251 beckons those who desire a luxury seaside retreat that comfortably accommodates a gathering of family or friends with a number of private places to enjoy peaceful solitude among the colorful tropical flora.  Located on Jamaica's prime North Coast in the Hermosa area of Ocho Rios, the property rests on a coral bluff that overlooks White River Bay and the beautiful turquoise blue Caribbean Sea.  The views are breathtaking.

 

     Arriving through the grand entry bordered by royal palms and vibrantly-hued flowers and plants, guests are warmly received by the villa's staff (Cook, Housekeeper and Butler/Server/Gardener).  What guests will find so appealing is that they can soak up the sun poolside with a cocktail on one of the chaise lounges or enjoy a refreshing libation or cup of tea and a good book while relaxing in one of the villa's many shaded, covered nooks and crannies.   

 

     The villa was recently renovated, which included adding new terraces on both levels to provide further appreciate to the wonderful views.  The spacious, comfortable living room flows to the outside through large French doors.  Guests have a choice of eating inside in the airy dining room, outside under the covered verandah, in the new coral stone fireplace pavilion or by the large freshwater swimming pool with its ample pool deck.  

 

     The villa has satellite TV, a stereo system, WiFi internet access, and a wide variety of reading material in the living room.  Furnishings are a blend of bamboo with white or blue fabrics that reflect the tones of the sea.  There are many interesting pieces of Jamaican art throughout the villa, including paintings by local artists on the walls. 

 

     One of the special features of this villa is its private spaces, including a 'hidden' rock grotto below the swimming pool (reached via stairs).  From the grotto, steps lead down to the owner's dock which serves as another 'secret' sunning spot and has a ladder to enter the sea or from which to enjoy the complimentary sea kayaks. 

     

     JM125 will accommodate up to 10 guests in five (5) bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.  There are four (4) bedrooms and baths in the Main House, with a fifth (5) bedroom and bath in the adjacent Cottage. The property actually has two Master Suites, one of which is in the Cottage, making it ideal for two families or one multigenerational family traveling together. The bedrooms and baths are arranged as follows:

 

• Bedroom #1   Master Bedroom is on the second floor and has a king-size bed and a large private terrace overlooking the sea; satellite TV; en-suite bathroom with shower and tub.

• Bedroom #2   First floor bedroom with a queen-size and a twin bed and French doors leading out to the main terrace; en-suite bath with shower and tub.

• Bedroom #3   First floor bedroom with king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower only.  Terrace.

• Bedroom #4   Second floor bedroom with a queen-size bed and a twin bed; en-suite bathroom with shower.  Garden view.

• Cottage  Spacious, private Cottage located next to the villa and considered second Master Suite with a choice of a king-size bed and one twin bed or three twin beds; en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower.  Terrace with garden and sea views.

• Note:  All bedrooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans.

 

     JM251's location in Ocho Rios affords easy access to Dunns River Falls, White River rafting, Dolphin Cove, James Bond Beach, Rainforest Adventures Park at Mystic Mountain (bobsledding, ziplining and a waterslide), Bamboo Beach (formerly Reggae Beach), Enchanted Gardens, Fern Gully, Green Grotto, Harmony Hall and more.

 

     The villa is about 15 minutes from Ian Fleming International Airport (Oracabessa) or 90 minutes from Sangster International Airport (Montego Bay).  We highly recommend a car or van rental when staying at this villa, which we will be happy to arrange for you with a reputable local provider.  If you are not comfortable driving on the left, alternatively we can hire a driver to be at your service during your stay. 

 

     Children are welcome but no pets (pet dogs on property).  As the villa is on a cliff, if there are children in the group who are under 6 years of age, a nanny must be hired (about $20 per day).  The dogs are 'Heinz 57 variety' (rescues), very friendly, and are kept in a separate area away from guests.  They are only allowed to mingle with the guests if the guests want them around (as they usually do!).  Handicapped access is poor.  This is a nonsmoking villa.
