Why January is a Great Time to Travel

For many people, the holidays are extremely stressful. While it's wonderful to visit with family and friends (and have them visit you), the preparations required for a successful occasion (or series of events) are often overwhelming when added to the tasks of purchasing 'perfect' gifts, buying/writing/mailing greeting cards, putting up decorations, baking those traditional holiday goodies, and the like.

Imagine, if you will, being able to get through them with thoughts of the mid-January getaway that you planned back in the fall ...

As an added incentive, airfares to your favorite Bahamian, Caribbean and Mexican destinations are generally less expensive when traveling prior to February break. Your best airline deals are still those booked well in advance, as we just learned from doing a trip for a group of gals flying jetBlue to Barbados. In one week, the identical itinerary out of JFK jumped almost $100 roundtrip!

We can think of no better way to recover from the exhaustion of the holidays than to take a relaxing vacation of a week or more to warmer climes with sand between your toes and a tropical libation in hand.
